About Alexander Ogilvie

Originally from Vancouver, B.C. Alexander worked in the commercial division of one of the largest real estate companies in Alberta for a number of years. When oil took a downturn in the early 80's, the company folded. Alexnder was involved in several successful business ventures, but missed the real estate business. A friend called 'out of the blue' one day asking for help to drive a vehicle down the baja peninsula, and Alexander jumped at the opportunity.

Plans to market and develop some property with his friend didn't work out, but Alexander fell in love with Baja and decided to stay. He opened a real estate office in La Paz. A few months later, another opportunity came along and he moved his real estate practice to Loreto, a place he is proud to call home.

Alexander is deeply involved in the Loreto community with Optimist Club activities, and fundraising for the baseball stadium, the University, the local library, the Interlado, the Turtle Foundation, the new Whale Museum, other local projects.
